Ken Taylor Licensed Real Estate Broker Since 1984
For many people the sale of their home is the most important financial decision they will make during their lifetime. It is for that reason that the selection of the real estate professional to market that home is of utmost importance.
Summary of Qualifications
With almost 30 years local real estate experience, I have listed and sold hundreds of homes on the Central Coast in all kinds of markets – good and bad. I have also trained hundreds of other Realtors and supervised thousands of real estate transactions as an office owner, manager, trainer and director of print and internet marketing for one of the oldest and largest real estate firms in the area.
Significant Accomplishments
Three years after obtaining my real estate license in 1981 I was offered a minority partnership and management position with the largest and second oldest real estate firm in south San Luis Obispo County. The company at that time consisted of two offices and was called Century 21 Filer Realtors. It had been founded in 1947 by one of the founding members of Mid-State Bank (now Rabobank), Mr. Walter Filer. Over the ensuing years we grew to five offices and became one of the top three firms in San Luis Obispo County. Along the way I become a 50% partner, managing broker (responsible for adhering to Department of Real Estate laws and regulations) director of training, director of print and internet marketing, and office manager for the Pismo Beach location. During this time and as the result of experiencing thousands of real estate transactions I developed an in-depth knowledge of virtually every aspect of the business – from neighborhoods and schools to contracts, financing, investment and development, construction details, and governmental rules and regulations. In 2005 I sold my shares in the corporation which owned what was by then called Century 21 Hometown Realty and have been practicing as an independent contractor and selling broker-associate for the company ever since.
What This Means For You
As a result of this experience, one of the greatest benefits I provide my clients is the ability to anticipate problems in advance so they do not become your problems. I have witnessed some real transactional “train wrecks” over the years which should not have happened. I also get to apply years of in-depth marketing experience to the new opportunities of the wired world.Other than the incredible rewards that come with helping folks negotiate the transition from one home to another, it is the blending of established real estate marketing principals with new technology which provides me the greatest professional enjoyment of late.
